In the year 2015, at age 19, she published her first debut single Here. It was an instant hit that both critics and the fans were awed by it. The song reached the top spot on both the Billboard Hot 100 and the Canadian Hot 100. Even Rolling Stone named the hit one of the Best Songs of the year. The same year when she dropped Know It All. Scars to Your Beautiful is one of her five original tracks included in the Billboard Charts including Billboard Hot 100 for Canada, and Billboard 200 for Canada's Album Charts. The track is special due to her Rap-Up interview she did with her listeners were able to connect to her experiences of learning to love themselves as well as doubting herself. Cara is known for her messages on the importance of mental health, kindness and self-love into her music. The inspiration for her music is drawn from her own personal experience as she struggled with mental health issues as well as insomnia. According to Reuters' interview, she has described her album as half-tumultuous and half-perfected. Her development was assisted by a therapy. She advises other people, if needed, to seek support. Alessia Cara is a Canadian artist who was born July 11, 1996, to parents of Italian heritage. Her parents bought her a new guitar, which she used to develop her passion for the music. In 2013, she covered the songs she loved for YouTube which is a well-known social media site. This was to demonstrate that she had both the capability and the self-confidence to be an artist. Sweater Weather is among the covers that resulted in her being discovered by EP Entertainment. This record label gave her the opportunity to create the songs she wrote herself.
